Calvary Chapel Living Hope offers a meaningful platform for Christians, both current attendees and those the church has connected with over the years, to regularly engage with updated sermons, familiarize themselves with the church staff, access prayer requests and events, contribute online, and maintain a connection with the community.

Located in downtown Oceanside at the historic site of the old First Methodist Church, built in 1886 at the corner of Seagaze and Ditmar, Calvary Chapel Living Hope has its roots in a visionary initiative undertaken 25 years ago. This initiative was led by a group of pastors from Calvary Chapel Vista who felt called to plant a church in what they perceived as a spiritually desolate area. Brad Lambert, who was serving as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Vista, was appointed as the founding pastor.

Throughout its history, Calvary Chapel Living Hope has experienced multiple relocations which tested the resilience and patience of its congregation, ultimately leading to its current location. Since its inception, the church has played a significant role in impacting the lives of individuals both within the community and beyond.

The church’s mission centers on establishing believers in God's new covenant promises through Christ Jesus, guiding them towards a life that is obedient and filled with the Holy Spirit. This approach contrasts sharply with the burdensome, self-reliant striving that many Christians encounter while attempting to adhere to God's law through their own efforts. Such an approach often results in hypocrisy and despair. In contrast, embracing God's promises leads to true worship and fulfillment.

In a time when churches frequently face criticism for fostering superficial faith centered on self-improvement rather than genuine spiritual depth, Calvary Chapel Living Hope aims to convey a transformative gospel message. It emphasizes that true life is found through self-denial for Christ's sake, offering a path to authentic spiritual vitality.
